Art has been a lifelong passion for me. I began my career as a Graphic Designer & Visualiser, working for some of the UK’s top advertising agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi and J. Walter Thompson. Concurrently, I developed my childhood talents for cartooning through working for the Mirror Group as a political and social cartoonist. Having also spent some time street artist caricaturing, I went on to publish 6 books, many jigsaws, greeting cards and also a range of limited edition prints.
Over the last 15 years, I have combined all these skills painting Landscapes, Equestrian and Figurative scenes for which I have received numerous awards and commendations. Yet, I have become increasingly known for my Portraiture, especially following my recent appearance on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year, 2020.
I have recently found himself being drawn to ponds, puddles and streams of the New Forest. These wetlands are teeming with stories waiting to be told.
The New Forest is one of the most intact networks of wetland habitat in Western Europe and has long been a key feature of the area’s natural beauty.
It’s mires, bog, ponds, rivers, and streams are not only a picturesque backdrop but also the reason why the New Forest was designated a national park.
The main reason I paint these extraordinary views is to celebrate and preserve this precious natural heritage.
