The New Forest Heritage Centre has two fully accessible rooms available for hire. Please contact the Centre by phone on 023 8028 6151 or by email at office@newforestheritage.org.uk to check availability and allow at least 5 working days before your event.

Gallery

This ground floor space is a designated exhibition space which hosts an all year round programme of temporary exhibitions and is a great room for a meeting or workshop.

The room can be set-up to seat up to 16 people boardroom style or 40 people theatre style and has a large projector screen.

Barker-Mill Field Studies Room

This 1st floor room provides a meeting space for smaller groups and activities.  It can comfortably seat 12 people boardroom style or 25 theatre style with scope for adapting the layout to suit different activities. The room has a work bench, flip chart, , black-out blinds, a wipe clean floor and a sink.  A lift provides access to users with mobility problems, including wheelchair users, and there is an accessible toilet adjacent to the room.

Details & Charges

Room hire is normally available between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday. A 9am start is possible by prior arrangement with access via the back door.  Out of hours bookings may be accommodated where possible – please contact us to discuss.

Provisional bookings must be confirmed by the hirer within 14 days.

No refund will be given on cancellation of fewer than 14 days’ notice.

An overrun charge will apply.

During opening hours:

£22 per hour (charity)

£33 per hour (business)

After hours:

£44 per hour (charity)

£55 per hour (business)

Please note that there is no VAT chargeable for room hire.

Refreshments

Hot and cold drinks and snacks can be arranged through our café at an additional cost. For a menu and more information, please click here. If you would like to organise refreshments, please advise us of this at the time of booking.

For bookings made out of hours, tea and coffee making facilities can be provided at a rate of £6 per hour.
