The New Forest Heritage Centre is situated in the heart of the New Forest in Lyndhurst and welcomes over 200,000 visitors every year.
It is about to embark on a long-term development plan to transform its galleries and facilities. As an independent museum, the Centre relies on the generosity of its users and visitors and welcomes support in helping to create a cultural hub for the New Forest.
The Centre’s Statement of Purpose reads:
‘The New Forest Heritage Centre inspires its visitors to explore and value the New Forest. It does this by collecting, conserving and interpreting its collections and by providing educational activities and information to a broad range of audiences. In doing so, it acts in ways that are ethical, ecologically sensitive, accessible and affordable’
